Terms of service
The agreement for using LaundryLocal pickup, cleaning and delivery.
These terms apply when you book a pickup, use the website or receive texts from LaundryLocal ("we", "us"). By booking, you agree to them.
1. The service
We pick up laundry, dry cleaning and leather & specialty items in our service areas in New York City and Long Island, clean or repair them through our plant and partner workshops, and deliver them back. Service areas, windows and prices for your ZIP are shown at booking and on the pricing page.
2. Prices and quotes
- Wash & fold is priced per pound, weighed dry at the plant, with a minimum order. We send you the weight and total before we charge.
- Dry cleaning is priced per item, counted and tagged at the plant.
- Leather & specialty care shows an estimate range at booking. The final price is set after inspection, and no work starts until you approve the quote. If we find more work during the job, we ask again before doing it.
- Prices may change with 14 days' notice. The price in effect on your pickup date applies.
3. Payment and card on file
You save a card when you book. You authorize us to charge it after each order is weighed or counted, or after you approve a quote, at the posted prices for your area, plus any rush, delivery or tip amounts you choose. For recurring pickups, we charge after each pickup on your schedule until you cancel. We keep a record of this consent (time, device, text version).
If a charge fails, we may retry it and send you a secure link to update your card. We may hold delivery until the order is paid. Orders that stay unpaid are handled under Unclaimed items.
4. Your responsibilities
- Check pockets. We're not responsible for items left in pockets (cash, cards, pens, earbuds), or for damage they cause.
- Tell us about stains, delicate items, and anything that must not be machine washed. List dry-cleaning items accurately so counts can be checked.
- Give us safe access: correct address, gate codes and doorman notes.
5. Claims
Report a problem within 7 days of delivery. Coverage limits are in Garment care & liability.
6. Texts
See SMS terms.
7. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by New York law. If something goes wrong, contact us first through your account so we can try to resolve it directly. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under New York consumer law.
