Garment care & liability
How we handle your items and what we cover if something goes wrong.
Last updated Oct 20, 2026
We treat every item as if it were our own: we follow care labels, photograph items at pickup and delivery, tag each dry-cleaning garment, and inspect leather and specialty items before quoting.
What we cover
| Service | If we lose or damage an item | Most we pay |
|---|---|---|
| Wash & fold | Fair value of the item | 10× the per-lb price of the bag, up to $250 per bag |
| Dry cleaning | Depreciated value using a standard garment life-expectancy table | 10× the cleaning price, up to $500 per item |
| Leather & specialty | Repair, or depreciated value if it can't be repaired | $1,000 per item; a higher declared value can be agreed before work |
| Whole order | $1,500 per order |
What we don't cover
- Items with no care label, or labels that are wrong; normal wear; shrinkage or color loss from following the label.
- Pre-existing damage noted in pickup or inspection photos; stains that can't be removed safely.
- Items left in pockets; trims, beads and buttons that aren't colorfast or securely attached.
- Color restoration and re-dye on leather: the match is close but may not be exact. We show this on the quote.
Making a claim
- Report it within 7 days of delivery from the order page ("Something wrong?").
- Keep the item and any receipt. We may need to inspect it.
- We review the photos and tag scans, keep you updated, and tell you the outcome in writing.
Count mismatches
If our count at pickup or the plant doesn't match what you listed, we tell you right away and hold the charge until you confirm or flag a missing item.
