Last updated Oct 20, 2026
This policy explains what personal information LaundryLocal collects and how we use it.
What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Name, mobile, email | Sign-in by text code, order updates, receipts |
| Addresses, gate codes, doorman notes | Pickup and delivery. Codes are shown to the assigned driver only during the stop. |
| Card (via Stripe) | Charging after weighing or approval. We store a token and the last 4 digits, never the full number. |
| Pickup, delivery and item photos | Proof of condition and delivery; claims |
| Driver location during a route | Live tracking links. Customer location is not tracked. |
| Device and usage data | Security, fraud prevention, fixing bugs |
How we share it
With service providers who help run the service (payments, texting, hosting, mapping, partner workshops for leather work), under contracts that limit their use. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties for their marketing.
Retention
We keep order records for as long as we need them to provide the service and to meet tax and legal obligations. Photos are kept while they are needed for your order or an open claim. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes.
Your choices
- Access, correct or delete your data: use your account settings, or contact us from your account.
- Marketing: opt out any time; order texts are covered in SMS terms.
